I got to spend some time with the cutest little 3 week old- he was so adorably sweet! Not to mention his three adoring big brothers! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from this newborn session.
Ever since I started in the photography business, I gave myself the personal goal to “find the beauty in whatever I am presented to photograph.”
It’s usually not very hard when I get to shoot the cutest squishy newborn lips or the bluest, most beautiful two year old eyes that stare just into my soul. I get the most gorgeous brides and get to capture the beautiful raw emotion that comes from committing your life and love to your soul mate.
Sometimes, though, I get beauty in simplicity.
Recently, the most beautiful salmon filets ended up in front of my lens, and it was so much fun to showcase their simplistic beauty. I also got to taste test these filets and I have to tell you, it was the best salmon I have ever had. And I am a salmon lover- I order salmon at restaurants. My husband is not a huge fan of fish in general and he could not believe how flavorful and not “fishy” tasting it was- he was definitely a fan.
I am not getting paid to say anything about this fish, I just wanted to give a huge thumbs up to a great product, that speaks for itself.
This salmon is wild, not farmed, caught in Bristol Bay, Alaska. It is professionally processed, de-boned, vacuum sealed, and deep frozen to make it sushi-grade.
Orders are taken in the spring (orders are open until May 25th, I believe), it is harvested in June and July, and orders are ready for pickup ( in Billings and Bozeman) or shipped (anywhere in Montana) in September. There are several other pickup locations around the country as well, including areas like PA, WI, and NJ.

I can’t believe this sweetheart is ONE already! Time goes so fast- it seems like yesterday I was doing her newborn pictures and now she is already one year old! She is absolutely adorable- she had so many giggles and sweet smiles, especially for her daddy! We had a fun cake smash at the end of the session too. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from the session!
I had a unique session request come through a few weeks ago- a mom wanted to do a session letting her four young daughters try on her wedding dress! I was so excited and could not believe how fun and special that sounded. I might just steal this idea for my own daughters- it was so much fun!
I could just see this sweet mom reliving her wedding day as she watched her daughters’ eyes light up as they put on this gorgeous dress and played with all her wedding day jewelry and accessories. It was hard to keep them looking their age in this dress, because these little girls are all so.stinkin. beautiful! There were so many giggles and smiles- I hope you enjoy this special session as much as I did!
A couple weeks ago I ventured out into the beautiful Montana snow with this sweet couple for some maternity pictures before their baby girl decided to arrive. They trusted me to know her name and initials ahead of time in order to take some special photos showcasing her beautiful, but still secret, name. I wasn’t able to post this image on their maternity blog because little miss still hadn’t made her appearance, but I wanted to share it here because I just love it so much. It is one of my absolute favorites. I love those detail images that are special and meaningful to the couple.
And then earlier this week I got to spend time with the sweetest little 6 day old baby girl. I hope you enjoy my favorites from her newborn session. Congratulations Allie and Andrew- she is absolutely beautiful!
