Ever since I started in the photography business, I gave myself the personal goal to “find the beauty in whatever I am presented to photograph.”
It’s usually not very hard when I get to shoot the cutest squishy newborn lips or the bluest, most beautiful two year old eyes that stare just into my soul. I get the most gorgeous brides and get to capture the beautiful raw emotion that comes from committing your life and love to your soul mate.
Sometimes, though, I get beauty in simplicity.
Recently, the most beautiful salmon filets ended up in front of my lens, and it was so much fun to showcase their simplistic beauty. I also got to taste test these filets and I have to tell you, it was the best salmon I have ever had. And I am a salmon lover- I order salmon at restaurants. My husband is not a huge fan of fish in general and he could not believe how flavorful and not “fishy” tasting it was- he was definitely a fan.
I am not getting paid to say anything about this fish, I just wanted to give a huge thumbs up to a great product, that speaks for itself.
This salmon is wild, not farmed, caught in Bristol Bay, Alaska. It is professionally processed, de-boned, vacuum sealed, and deep frozen to make it sushi-grade.
Orders are taken in the spring (orders are open until May 25th, I believe), it is harvested in June and July, and orders are ready for pickup ( in Billings and Bozeman) or shipped (anywhere in Montana) in September. There are several other pickup locations around the country as well, including areas like PA, WI, and NJ.
