I am a Montana-based photographer with a passion for finding the beauty in everything I am presented to photograph.  I have the most amazing husband and possibly the cutest little boy on the face of this planet- (I know I am biased).  There are many great photographers in Billings, but I think you will find that I truly pour myself into each session to bring out the unique creativity that is only you!  I don’t prefer portrait style shots, but instead allow you to interact with each other so that I capture those unique moments that can only be yours.Despite being based in the city, I am far from a city girl.  I grew up Laurel, where hiking gorgeous mountains, fishing, hunting, and skiing have been a normal part of my life.My journey as a photographer has been influenced and cultivated by several people along the way.  My father put a “spark” in me when he gave me my very own 35 mm for my 14th birthday.  He had been a professional photographer for several years when he was in his 30′s and passed on his passion for photography to me and one of my older brothers.  I took pictures just for fun all through high school, and in college took a minor in photography- just cementing that my interest was now a passionate part of my life.My older brother, who owns and operates EA Studios Photography in St. Paul, MN, really shaped who I am as a photographer today. I learned so much practical wisdom from him that I couldn’t learn in a classroom.

He taught me to go beyond just getting all of the “normal shots” and to push myself to be creative for every single client – something I still strive to do.

Since becoming a mommy earlier this year, photographing children has become my new favorite.  They are so fun and each photo shoot is so exciting and unpredictable.  I embrace the uniqueness of each child, and try to capture individual personalities in each picture.  It is amazing how fast time whooshes by, and pictures of your children as they grow are a precious treasure for the rest of your life.
